Columbus’s Renewable Energy Goals

In Nov 2020, the voice of 76% of the voters was heard. The City of Columbus Ohio is now committed to run the city on 100% renewable energy sources by the end of 2022. Initially to achieve this aggressive goal Columbus will supplement its needs with clean power generated in other states. Simultaneously infrastructure will be built so that by 2024 all the renewable energy for the city will be generated in Ohio by wind, solar and other sources. Erin Beck is a leader of the team that will implement these aggressive goals. Columbus has become a model for other cities that want to make a rapid transition to renewable energy.
