Re-Powering the World
Quaise Energy’s goal is to re-power the over 10,000 fossil fuel driven power plants that currently exist globally with clean geothermal energy. And in the process remove approximately 25% of global C02 emissions. Quaise’s novel approach uses millimeter wave boring technology developed at MIT to access hot rock miles below us in the earths crust where they will superheat water that will drive steam turbines anywhere on earth. Just a few miles below our feet may be an important weapon in the battle against climate change.
